An inspiring new study from Dr Chan, Dr Soller and the team at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute and the University of British Columbia. In their latest OIT study, researchers found that nearly 80% of the preschoolers were able to eat 15 peanuts without reaction during an allergist-supervised oral challenge. So hopeful about these results, that these kids will be at much less risk of anaphylaxis from an accidental exposure! #hope #OIT #peanutallergy #research... https://globalnews.ca//ubc-peanut-allergy-real-world-study/

Despite the 2020 Sun Run race officially being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are thrilled to announce that our amazing fundraisers raised an impressive $21,260.00. These funds will support the ground-breaking research being done on oral immunotherapy (#OIT) at the BC Children's Hospital Allergy Clinic. Since 2018, #TeamAllergy has been participating in the Vancouver Sun Run and, so far, we have contributed more than $100,000.00 to this incredible cause.... We would also like you to know that we just received our official T-Shirts from the Sun Run organizers. Please watch for an email so we can make arrangements for you and your family members to receive yours. Finally, we have heard from a few of you that you would like to transfer your registration to Sun Run 2021. If you wish to do so, please visit https://vancouversunrun.com/cancellation. Search Team Allergy to join our team. Thank-you again! Your participation and support means so much, and will help make a difference in the lives of the 86,000 kids in BC who live with serious food allergies. #bcchf #foodallergies

We are sad to share that the 2020 Vancouver Sun Run has been cancelled. Please see their post below for detailed information. While this is disappointing news, we support the decision. The health and safety of our team members and community must come first. Team Allergy will post more information in the coming days about how we will continue our efforts to support the BC Children's Hospital Foundation this year. Thank you to all our team members and supporters.
