So excited to have LGBTQ2+ Peer Support Worker from Radar join us today! Find Melisa in the COE atrium today 11:30-1:30, and in OASIS (PC 213) on April 10 & 24.

Okanagan College is running two Academic Skills Boot Camps at the Kelowna campus to provide students with the academic skills they need to succeed, including APA and MLA documentation and citation, paragraph structure, essay formatting and more. The event is free and open to all students in academic courses. And we cant forget to mention - FREE PIZZA!

Tomorrow night!!! Join us for our first ever MOVIE NIGHT! Admission is free and open to all students. Popcorn will be sold on location by donation. All proceeds will go funding more great OASIS activities!

Tonight on Kelowna campus!!! The Freedom from Harassment Working Group together with Okanagan College Faculty Association (OCFA) has requested that the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators (FPSE) of BC run a Town Hall Meeting September 24th 4:00pm in the Theatre (S104) on our Kelowna Campus to help our faculty and others be prepared when the Expose the Reality anti-choice group brings its very graphic and aggressive imagery to our campus. We anticipate a visit in mid-Octo...ber. The speakers at the Town Hall Meeting will be Zoe Towle (FPSE Staff Representative) and Leo McGrady (Legal Counsel for FPSE and the OCFA), who will discuss our right to a harassment-free workplace and outline some of the legal and collective agreement constraints and options when faced with a threat to our safe and secure work environment. OCFA has shared this email with other union friends that may align with a similar need for a safe and secure work environment, as they may wish to attend. We encourage all interested staff, faculty, administrators, and students to attend this event.

The next session of Flourish, OC's new Wellness Project, is happening this Monday Sept. 25th from 2:30-3:45 in PC113. All are welcome, and there will be free tea and snacks.

The WRC is proud to be a supporter of Take Back the Night, which will be held one week from today - Wednesday Sept. 27th at 6:30 pm in Gyro Park. Everyone has the right to feel safe! Let's break the silence to end violence!
