WHO DO YOU KNOW? CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT needed for our wonderful clinic. Job purpose: The role of Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist provides general reception and office duties as well as being liaison between patients and staff. Chiropractic Assistants work under the supervision of a Chiropractor and Senior Chiropractic Assistant. The role includes management of the Chiropractic office, checking in patients, and other duties necessary in running a Chiropractic practice. ... Duties and responsibilities: Greets patients in a warm, friendly, and professional manner and checks them in Prepares rooms, directs patients to rooms and ensures patients are ready for treatment Manages and maintains clinic schedules, book appointments, based on practitioner’s availability Collects and processes payments from patients Abides by the Health Information Act (HIA) and clinic’s privacy policy and guideline regarding handling personal and medical information Manages clinic email correspondence Answers the phone and addresses all patient questions and concerns Keeps the office clean and presentable, doing spot cleaning throughout the day and tidying the office at the end of the day Restocks the offices/rooms and report any stock office concerns to the senior Chiropractic Assistant Assists practitioner in creating documents required for medical legal reports, WCB etc. and fax/email as needed Liaises and collaborates with other providers on behalf of clinic/patients Prepares and completes requisitions and obtains results from diagnostic testing Performs opening and closing office duties Other duties as needed Qualifications: Must be personable with a professional demeanor and able to exercise courtesy and tact at all times Must be familiar with HIA and medical information sharing and must be willing to further train in this area Must be able to multitask and work with frequent interruption Must be organized and able to problem solve Must have strong computer skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Must have experience working with people, preferably in a medical office environment Customer service experience helpful Work Environment: We are a very fun, friendly office with a family-like atmosphere Please apply with resume in person to Thiel Chiropractic at 2363 Enterprise Way or email to [email protected]. Treatment Tuesday: our condition this week is... HERNIATED DISKS Bulging and herniated disks in the spin (especially the lower back) are very common. Herniated disks are a result of natural disk degeneration as we age. They often happen when making sudden movements such as lifting something heavy and cause pain and/or numbness down the legs or arms. Currently, most patients are prescribed pain killers and rest, in severe cases surgery. But, laser therapy is a great alternati...ve.
