The OST has athletes everywhere. Over seas in Alpine, ski cross and these two doing dowhill in Whistler. It will be nice to have the whole team back together in Panorama for our final push of the season. Here are downhill photos of Heming and Rane. Both of them coming up with strong finishes in the series!
It's been a packed month of racing and training for the OST. Great results were had by everyone at Lake Louise but it's now time to train and fine tune our skills before Grouse and Whistler. Here's some shots from the racing at Lake Louise and training today at Apex.
It was speed week at the Dreadnaught downhill in Kimberly. The OST had some great finishes with Heming Sola taking the win in the 2nd downhill and strong top 10 finishes by Aaron, Hayes and Rane. Well done team! Off to Lake Louise for some Super G's and GS's.
One more dryland camp down and the snow is just around the corner. A good mix of hard work and fun goes a long way. Well done boys!

Erik Guay Guest Speaker at the BC Alpine Summitt!
The weather didn't exactly cooperate but that didn't stop these athletes. Biking, testing, weight training and a good old old fashioned rainy sand workout took place at the Vernon dryland camp. Great work guys!
Last day at Hood tomorrow. What a great camp!!! The weather was awesome, no lost days and great attitiudes all around. Everyone made huge strides in with their skiing. Well done OST!
Mt. Hood day 3. Nothing like summer camp. Great to work with Mike Janyk and Antonia Wearmouth of the VST.
The 2019 - 2020 ski season is officially underway. Here are some pics from the OST Mt. Hood summer camp 2019. It's great to finally have the new team on snow. The days are full and the quality is great.
Next season starts almost now, but before it does we’d like y’all to meet Isaac too cool for school Athans. This guy is his high school starting QB and has such an irrefutable fashion sense that others just want to dress exactly like him (see #2). As much as Isaac tries at all costs to avoid everything uncool, sometims he can be a pretty darn nice guy, who listens to trendy world music and practices yoga on occation. He defiantely knows his way around a ski hill thou...gh; one minute he’ll be crushing a slalom course, and the next sending big off the larges in the park or shredding some deep pow on a freeski day. Our last road trip of the year ended Sunday and Isaac and and Antho probably had the biggest bro hug session in the parking lot because Isaac’s best thing since sliced bread is retiring from the team. Even though he’ll have to live in an OST world without Antho next year, we know he is really looking forward to tackling second year FIS at full speed. Hometown: Kelowna Year on OST: First What are you working on in your skiing this year? Moving down the hill and pressuring the outside ski Early, Late or Right on time? Right on Time One food you could eat for the rest of your life? Wraps Favorite Discipline? Slalom because I like the fast pack, quick turns and slamming gates. Best cook you’ve roomed with this year? Aaron (@ap_leaman you officially won the most votes for best cook on the team, but somehow didnt win MasterChef ) One place you’d like to ski that you havent yet? Japan. Different vibes and sick pow @ Kelowna, British Columbia
Meet Hayes Layton... He’s tall, he’s blonde... his palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There's vomit on his sweater already, grandma‘s spaghetti....is the perfect way to describe Hayes before a race. Maybe not the vomit part but other than that its pretty accurate. He’s a nervous before the race, but once he’s on track he’s all about that out loud positive self talk. Hayes is our resident OST gamer so catching him playing Black Ops 4 during room checks is usually a... safe bet. The biggest thing that Hayes has got out of this season is realizing that tuning your skis actually makes you go faster...who woulda thunk that eh . We also learned recently that Hayes goes Beast Mode in almost any dryland competition so dont get in his way if we’s running up stairs with a bundle of gates, and definately dont challenge this guy to a wall sit competition. Year on OST: First Favorite Discipline: SG because of the speed you get to go and you constantly have to be paying attention to the snow and the gates. Best race day pump up music: Bohemian Rhapsody Your favorite thing about skiing: The feeling of getting that ski in and carving and the satisfaction of laying down a good run. It is also a good way to stay in shape. Favorite Dryland Activity: Biking Best cook you’ve roomed with this year: Yet another vote for A-Aron. Once place you’ve never skied that you’d like to: Kicking Horse If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? Chicken @ Nakiska Ski Area
