OKF Female Karate Development

Mayor Rob Keffer and Councillor Peter Ferragine presented a certificate to local youth Olivia Deane, who brought home a gold medal in the kumite form of karate from the Junior Pan American Championships held in Ecuador in August 2019. Congratulations Olivia!

On behalf of the Female Development Committee of OKF we would like to congratulate Olivia Deane who won gold medal in the Cadet Kumite Female +54kg devision at the Junior Pan-American Championships in Ecuador . So pleased to see you accomplishing such great milestone. Also, we would like to acknowledge the hard work of all our female athletes who participated in the Junior Pan-Ams during the past week. It is with great happiness to share the news of Haya Jumaa's success at the 2019 WKF Karate-1 Series Event held in Santiago, Chile. Haya came third place in the -61kg Female Kumite division. We are very proud to see our Ontario Female athletes excel at such world class level. On behalf of OKF's Female Development Committee we wish Haya success in her future endeavours.
