In honour of Chalk it up For Heather, The Old Hound will be handing out chalk to the first 50 kids who come by today for ice cream. The chalk can be used to make some artwork on the sidewalk in front of The Hound! #chalkitupforheather

OPEN holiday Monday SEPT 7th. 1pm - 8pm. Come try some of our new Gelato flavours. 70 ish flavours of hard serve, ALSO soft serve chocolate and vanilla. Don't forget our funnel cakes. YUM YUM.

We've decided to open on this Holiday Monday. We figured there's not a lot open Monday here in town, so everyone SHOULD want ice cream. ;) Well, maybe a Funnel cake, or both. :) So we are open TODAY, Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday our normal hours NOON - 9pm. Come in to have one of our 70 flavours of hard scoop ice cream, or Soft serve vanilla or chocolate.

YEAH!! Finally about to come enjoy your ice cream inside the Old Hound. We also have a space across the street with plastic lawn chairs for you to enjoy sitting outside if you would prefer. It's not fancy, but somewhere to relax. :)

The Old Hound has some new features. Not only do we have over 60 flavours of ice cream, but we FINALLY have SOFT SERVE vanilla and chocolate. We've opened with having hot dogs, but we've introduced JUMBO hot dogs a few weeks ago. We've recently introduced FUNNEL CAKES. They have been a big hit. Lots of different options for toppings on them, and I have to say they are SOOOO good. This week, we've been perfecting our version of the Blizzard. I think we are going to call it t...he Squall. We don't have ALL the flavours yet, but we have a bunch to start. Come in for a SQUALL. We'd love to hear your feedback. See more

Our FIRST 10 scoop ice cream cone!! John asked for "the most ice cream you can fit on a cone". MY EYES LITS UP (I've been trying to have someone try to eat a TEN scoop ice cream cone since we opened) Here it is. Thanks John.
