Greeting Cards: Create & Donate! Looking for a fun way to give back this holiday season? CAG is running an event where community members are invited to come in and create holiday cards to be sent with Meals on Wheels Kits across Ottawa. These kits (and cards) are sent to people in our community who are elderly, have a disability, or are recovering from illness. Especially in times like these, when it is easy for people to feel isolated, a greeting card can go a long way in br...ightening someone’s day! If you are interested in joining in on the fun, please register for a time slot. This is an in-person and socially distanced event occurring at Old Town Hall Community Centre. This activity is open to all ages and members of the community, and one person can register for a family/group of up to 5 people. Strict COVID protocols will be in place, including masks being required to be worn by all participants at all times. This event is free and all materials will be provided. Date: Sunday, December 13th, 2020. Time Slots: (only 1 person can sign up for each time slot) 1:00-1:45 1:30-2:15 2:00-2:45 2:30-3:15 3:00-3:45 3:30-4:15 COVID Protocols Details: Each group can have a maximum of 5 participants. Members of each group should be in the same pod/bubble, as they will be sitting within 6 feet of each other and sharing card-making materials. Only 2 groups will be allowed in the building at a time, and materials will be replaced or sanitised between groups. Staggered entrance times will occur and groups will be encouraged to stay seated at their table while creating the cards, limiting movement throughout the building. All participants and staff must be wearing a mask at all times.
