Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion -teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the 4 components of water-rescue education - judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. Rescuers learn tows and carries, and defence methods and releases in preparation for challenging rescues of increased risk involving conscious and unconscious victims of various types. Lifesavers develop stroke efficiency and endurance in a 500 m timed swim. Pre-requisite: 13 years old or Bronze Star. This is the first step toward becoming a lifeguard! Our next course starts Tuesday, May 4th. Please call the pool at 403-556-7665 for more information and to register.

The hot tub at Olds Aquatic Centre will remain closed until the Winter schedule starts in January as we evaluate services to ensure we are able to operationally sustain compliance with COVID protocols and AHS regulations.

The pool is finally completely drained. Now it's time for the real work to begin!
More major work going on at the Olds Aquatic Centre. The pools are being drained for upcoming re-grouts of all the basins and showers, and to replace the main drain grates in the deep end of the main pool.
