Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! Please be safe this holiday season. Keep a watchful eye on all the goodies you will be cooking or baking! Reach out to somebody who might be struggling through this season. A phone call or virtual visit can make a big difference in someone’s life. It’s been a tough year, let’s make sure we all feel the love! #myolds #centralalberta #oldsalberta #oldscommunity #oldsfiredept

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. Let us never forget those who have served for our freedoms then and now. #remembranceday #myolds #oldsalberta #olds #everyonecomeshome #oldsab #oldsfiredept #centralalberta #mountainviewcounty #volunteer #centralalberta #oldscommunity

Lots of snow came down overnight! Reminder when you’re out shovelling your driveway to check and make sure your neighbourhood hydrant has a 3 foot radius cleared and a path to the road. Every second counts in a fire so saving the time it would take to dig out a hydrant is crucial. #firesafety #myolds #oldscommunity

It’s a cold and snowy day out there today! Let’s have some fun. Tag us in a picture of your winter preparedness kit for your vehicle and we will enter your name for an Olds Firefighter Association t shirt and a smoke alarm! Draw to be made at the end of the day tomorrow November 9th!

Did you know that chimneys and vents need to be cleaned and inspected by a qualified professional at least once per year. The build up of creosote in the chimney can start a chimney fire. Furnaces also need servicing and inspection at least once per year. #myolds #oldsalberta #olds #everyonecomeshome #oldsab #oldsfiredept #firefighter #firerescue #centralalberta #mountainviewcounty #firstresponder #firesafety #fire #firetruck #firechief #volunteer #centralalberta #oldscommunity
