It used to be a tradition for parents to bless their children on New Year’s Day. In this day when our children (and we, too) are under constant assault to act in ways contrary to God’s ways, I think this is the time to return to this tradition. The blessing is simple and strong: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord’s face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Home needs Volunteers to lead Baby Bottle Campaign and Annual Benefit Dinner

Our Lady of Guadalupe is in dire need of volunteers to manage our two major fundraisers: The Baby Bottle Campaign and our Annual Banquet. We depend entirely on Divine Providence to meet our needs, since we receive no government funding. Our donors are amazingly generous, but we also depend on these 2 major fundraising campaigns, because together they provide about 17% of our operating costs for the year. Please help us continue in our mission to help new mothers.

Baby Steps Walk to Remember event by the Knights of Colombus 3305 ladies auxiliary is raising funds for Baby’s Breath Canada (an organization that provides support for families that have lost their baby) and the Perinatal department of Windsor Regional specifically for cots blankets and cremation services for women that loose their baby Naturally.

We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Carolyn Cole, Co-Foundress of Our Lady of Guadalupe Home, to her Eternal Reward. Her guidance and drive launched and sustained the inspirations and activities led to the opening of this Home for mothers and babies in the Windsor Essex County region.
