Weekly Culture Program SESSION 3: Mini Leather Hanging Mittens! Chi Miigwetch to Sue for facilitating a beautiful Mother’s Day activity! We began with a smudge which was a beautiful way to bring us together! This was a very intricate activity with sewing beads and leather with sinew and thread! Flames Virtual Engagement - Family Day Feasting! What an experience: 25 families - 40 students - and 4 staff members and their families! Thank you so much Susan Kovacs Weigel from Sault Ste. Marie who facilitated a virtual Italian cooking experience - fully funded by our Catholic Parent Council (Parents Reaching Out)! Our menu: chicken penne pesto - tomato and bocconcini salad - oranges with a balsamic reduction - and a toasted pecan ice cream ball! We are so grateful and appreciative of this experience! We celebrated the Feast Day of Our Lady of Lourdes! Yesterday - all students made a rosary - with a tutorial created by the Grade 3/4 class! This morning - we joined as a Catholic community on Zoom to participate in the Living Rosary! It was so special! Each student enjoyed a 6inch sub from Subway Canada to share in a special meal! We are so fortunate to be able to safely honour this day as a school community!
