I would like to send out an apology to anyone that has come to the store during hours that our Google page said we were open. Please forgive me as I made a mistake. I did not manage that page very well. I have been using Facebook.....Shop Midland, our voice mail and the sign on the front of the shop as my main 4 platforms for getting our hours out there. ""PLEASE READ......& SHARE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN"" There is a hockey family that very much is in need of our help. The Calhoun family has been though hell and back....and unfortunately it is getting worse. Anne Marie was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer on Mother’s Day, May 2018. After a few weeks they discovered that it was very aggressive and had spread throughout her bones (left upper femur, a few spots on her spine and a bunch on her left side ribs). Because it was so... aggressive they needed to attack it quickly. They started injection chemo right away and did that for 6 sessions, as this was the max you could get. After completing those, she started the current treatment she’s on and it’s been doing great up till now. Regular scans were done the first week of September and they looked fine. More scans happened due to unbearable pain in her right hip area that had started about 5 weeks ago. They received the news that her cancer is visibly spreading in her right upper femur. With Matt her husband being off work on leave to take care of her and their four amazing kids, and Anne Marie never being able to work again due to her terminal cancer, their household income has drastically changed. All proceeds from the sales of each item will go directly to the Calhoun family to help in their time of need. Hi friends! Further to our last #pandemic post, the Town of Midland announced today that the NSSRC rink closure will be extended until May 12th. This means that Olympia Sports Shop in the rink will also remain closed until that date. Hope everyone is keeping safe and healthy and in good spirits. Your business and continued support mean the world to us, and we can't wait to see your smiling faces again soon!

I am extremely saddened to announce that we are going to have to close the store for 3 full weeks. The town has announced the closing of the arena facility during this period. I just want to thank everyone that supported the shop this past season. With out your continued support we would not be who we are. We are looking forward to bigger and better things going into 20/21 and our 46th year of being in business. Thanks you from the bottom of hearts!!

With everything that has transpired over the past few days we, unfortunately, have to cut back our hours of operation drastically. I am unsure of how to set the daily hours right now as there are a lot of holes with the time slots. As of right now, all rentals are still allowed to come and play. I will keep people posted on here daily of what the store will be running for the hours that day.
