Self-reflection is a humbling process. It’s essential to find out why you think, say, and do certain things then better yourself. Sonya Teclai As we reflect on this year, we have a lot of thankfulness and gratefulness for all the students, parents/guardians, and instructors support. Let’s make 2021 the best year ever! I love you all. - Master Young

What is love? Love is playing every game like it's your last.- Micheal Jordan Congratulations to everyone who tested over the weekend! Teaching online has been a change, and there was some slight concern it would be difficult in teaching poomsae online, but our students are so resilient and can adapt to change to easily, they’ve made it easy for the instructors to help them. Check out our Instagram for some videos from the test! www.instagram.com/omactaekwondo.

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. - Søren Kierkegaard We’re going back! When Grand Master first immigrated to Canada (Toronto), he first started teaching at the local YMCA, where his first students in Canada joined, Silvio and Martha! It became a lifelong friendship. Grand Master always makes sure to go pay them a visit when he visits Toronto. You can see a 5 year old Master Young picking his nose in the 2nd photo (bottom row, far right).

It’s never too late to start working on yourself. Act now. Don’t stop. Enjoy the ride. - Anonymous Pre COVID and during Phase 3, Grandmaster Suh and his wife, the REAL Grandmaster, were coming to the dojang twice a week to get a workout in. Their goal was to skip 100 times with no break. Within 2 months, they achieved their goal. I always tell people that they’re never too old to start exercising. It takes that one spark, that small motivation to do it and stick with it. Come train! - Master Young

Everybody's a work in progress. I'm a work in progress. I mean, I've never arrived... I'm still learning all the time. - Renee Fleming Aiden (aka Lil’ Man, now known as Me(dium)-Man) has been training for close to 9 years in our Taekwondo program and also is in our kickboxing program, has made huge strides in his confidence and leadership skills. He’s also great at skipping. His next goal is to do multiple triple skips.

The more technique you have, the less you have to worry about it. The more technique there is, the less there is. - Pablo Picasso Welcome back, everyone! Classes are back in session! Master Young and instructor Ryan have been working on the sidekick, one of the most technically difficult kicks to learn, as the motion is quite different from a turning kick. Here’s Xian and Arden demonstrating excellent sidekick form.
