Attention Members: We have been informed by Public Health that one of our members has tested positive for Covid-19. This member attended an indoor social gathering last weekend which has been linked with many cases in our community. This member attended the gym on following days:... Tuesday, December 8th between 6:00pm - 9:00pm Wednesday, December 9th between 12:00pm - 3:00pm Any member that was at the gym during those times should monitor themselves for Covid symptoms. We have been instructed that the majority of members that were at the gym during these times are at low risk of contracting Covid. Members that were close during the cardiovascular portions of the members workout would be at a higher risk. We will be providing Public Health with the contact information of any member that we determined was at a higher risk and they will be reaching out in the upcoming days. With the number of positive cases increasing in Kingston we all have to do our part to ensure the safety of our members. This should act as a reminder of how important it is to spray down your equipment, maintain the 3 meter distance, and wear your mask when you aren’t actively working out. These rules are in place to minimize the risk of spreading the virus even if a member enters and is unknowingly positive. Let’s all continue to our part to keep our Omega Community safe. As the holidays are fast approaching, we all know that some of our community will have difficulties putting food on their table. We here at Omega Fit Club wanted to do our part. Together with many businesses in the West End, we have teamed up to make a difference over this holiday season. Over the next 2 weeks there will be 4 gift baskets on display at the club, each one having an approximate value of $450. We will be accepting donations to the Foodbank, and with each donat...ion you will receive a chance to win one of the gift baskets. The format of our food drive is as follows: 1 ballot per food item brought in ( ie 5 cans of food = 5 ballots): or $2 for one ballot or 3 for $5 (please bring exact amount ). On December 15, 2020 at 7pm the draw for the baskets will be done. We are limiting one win per person. These West End businesses are going through tough times and have been extremely generous with their donations. Please take time to look through the list of businesses and please support them this holiday season as they have assisted us in this great cause. As you all probably know, Kingston has been moved into Yellow status. Which means some slight changes for us at Omega Fit Club. Members that are not in the same social circle will now have to maintain a 3 metre distance instead of 2. This means we have spaced out our equipment further and have blocked off more equipment. We ask our members to keep this new distance in mind when selecting which equipment they are going to use. Due to spacing issues, we will be dropping ou...r capacity to 35 people at one time. Keep this in mind when selecting a work out time. Lineups were already happening during our peak hours, and this will certainly make lineups more likely. We would ask our members to make their workouts as quick as possible, and limit socializing. We will need everyone to do their part to ensure we can get as many of our members in for a work out as possible every day. We recognize that these changes are not ideal, but this situation is out of our control. We need to do our part to ensure the safety of our community. New Hoodies have arrived in time for Fall. $45+hst or 2 for $80+hst

As I am sure many of you have heard, Stage 3 begins this Friday. We are so very excited to be able to open our doors and have you all come back. In the next couple of days we will be informing you all about the procedures we are implementing to ensure a safe environment for everyone. We would like to thank everyone for their support and patience. We would not have been able to survive without the unbelievable support from you all. Thanks again, and we will see you soon!!

Another COVID update: By now we assume a lot of you have seen that GoodLife has posted a tentative opening date of June 29th for this region. We would like to point out that that date has not been approved by the Ontario government and is simply what GoodLife is preparing to be ready for. We have avoided putting out re-opening dates until we have been informed by the government that we are allowed to open, and what regulations will be in place for us to open. We would l...ove to provide some hope and say that June 29th we will be able to be open, but that would be disingenuous. The moment we are allowed to be open we will be ready and have been ready for all fo you to come back. Stage 2 in Ontario starts Friday and we will have to see how that goes prior to knowing when Stage 3 will get under way. We can not wait until we have been given the go ahead and we can have all of you back here. We just can’t pretend that we know when that will be. Dwayne & Sean

To the Omega Community: We would like to begin by saying we are immensely grateful to any and all members who have supported us during these past few months. We would honestly be in a very bad situation if it weren’t for your continued support and thank you doesn’t even begin to explain what it has meant to us. We more than appreciate all of the support and we will be offering credit for future months for those of you that have continued to make your payments during these t...imes. With that being said, if any members need to stop their payments please email us at [email protected] and we will process that immediately. When we had to close on March 17th we would never have thought that 3 months later we would still not be allowed to be open. We are being left in the dark as much as everyone else and would love to have an update on when we will be able to open the doors. Our hands are tied but we are hopeful that we will be able to see you all back here sooner than later. What we can update you on is what we have done during these times. We have used this down time to get some projects done around the gym to improve your experience at Omega. Some of these projects include: Cleaning and maintenance on equipment Painting and upgrading the locker rooms Getting the NEW sauna up and running Ordered a NEW water fountain with bottle fill up attachment (still waiting on delivery) Our goal is to always be improving and making the experience here the best we can possibly offer to you, our members. This pandemic has only further illuminated that we have an incredible community here. Omega Fit Club does not exist without our members. March 15th marked the two year anniversary of us taking over Omega and due to the pandemic we did not get to properly celebrate that. Whenever we are allowed to open again, we will be planning a Member’s Appreciation Day to not only celebrate our anniversary, but to celebrate the members who make this club what it is. To the Omega Fit Club Community, We hope everybody is doing well and staying healthy during these crazy times. As you all know, we had to close the doors to the gym a couple weeks ago. We have taken this opportunity to get a lot of much needed upgrades completed at the gym, but it sucks seeing the gym empty. We really look forward to seeing all of your faces again, and really appreciate your continued support! A few of you have been reaching out regarding payments and we... have also had quite a few members reach out saying they would like to continue to support Omega and keep their payments going. To these people we would like to say we are incredibly grateful and it is contributions such as those that will help ensure Omega Fit Club can remain open following this state of emergency. With that being said, these are tough times for everyone and we want to make sure we can help out as much as possible. For those of you who are willing and able to continue your support, we will happily give you a month's credit which will be applied on the month of your birthday, we will just need a reminder when your birthday is upcoming. Due to Ontario’s State of Emergency and government mandates, we will be closing our doors until March 31st. As a small business that supports our community we have to do our part to ensure the safety of our members. These are tough times, but we will all get through this together.
