Setting up a squirrel proof bird feeding station can be done! You just need to be smarter than the squirrels! And I think you are! Squirrels can climb poles, c...lothes lines, shepherds hooks and they can jump up 4-5'. Squirrels can also launch themselves 10-12' from deck rails, gazebos, your roof, trees, clothes lines etc. Once you know these limitations you can set up your bird feeding station in the right location and with the proper accessories. We carry these wonderful pole systems that can be purchased in pieces so you can set up just what you need, but you can also add accessories as you develop your love for bird watching. I feel I need to pass on this Halloween pumpkin hack: once you have cut the top off get a hand mixer (with one or 2 whisks on it as both work) and use this to ...detach all the insides of the pumpkin...take the whisks right to the edge of the pumpkin so it scrapes the bits off then just scoop out the insides that are now all mush (it has just taken me 5 minutes to do the inside of a pumpkin See more

Everyone who feeds birds agrees we've never had so many bluejays as this year. The feeders are always empty. Even Costco ran out of black sunflower seeds for weeks.
