1 of our cats seems to have gone missing from our farm on Hayes Line (beteeen ski hill road and Emily park road) in the Omemee, ON area. Skunk is a 2 year old m...ale farm cat / house cat. He is used to being outside during the day and its not uncommon for him to wander off, but he didn't come home last night which isn't normal for him. Hes super friendly and will walk right up to you. Scared of cars so I cant see him getting onto the road. But if anyone in the area happens to see him please give me a call as his brother and his family miss him. 705-927-5974 See more

LOST September 23rd 2020 at 1115 am after being... attacked by a dog at Victoria Ave in Omemee between George/Colborne St N. "Milo" is a Jackpoo last seen running west on the rail trail, wearing his red plaid harness, no leash, tags or microchip. Milo is skittish but friendly with his people. A message from the Mayor Please see below for the latest COVID-19 update and a message fr...om Mayor Letham: "Good afternoon, Today is July 8. Yesterday, our local health unit for Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland released a new order that will make masks mandatory within our district. This order is being delivered under the Emergency Management and Civil protection act and is being put in place as a proactive measure to keep safety a top priority for the community. As of Monday July 13, everyone will be required wear a mask, or face covering, when entering indoor commercial spaces open to the public such as local businesses, take out restaurants and gas stations. Wearing a mask has always been about protecting others. This is a precautionary step and not a reaction to an immediate threat or concern for our area. Our numbers continue to decrease and to ensure we are doing everything possible to keep everyone safe, we will follow the health unit’s guidance. This will be another new challenge for our local businesses that they will have to adapt to and overcome to survive. I ask for everyone’s patience, respect and support as we all navigate through this together. Please do your part by educating yourself on the importance of wearing a mask indoors and staying safe. Also effective tonight at midnight, a municipal-wide burn ban will come into effect. This is another proactive measure to help keep our community safe. Extreme heat temperatures combined with dry vegetation can be the perfect combination to start a fire. The ban will be in effect until further notice and includes a complete ban on fireworks, campfires, bonfires, and burn barrels. Please dispose of your cigarette butts responsibly and not on the side of the road. There is a lot going on right now so your continued cooperation is appreciated.
