It’s all in the details circular lucite knobs compliment the lucite on the orbital fixture. The varying tile shapes all tell the same colour story and, therefore, flatter rather than compete with one another. The overall feel is serene and spa-like. I think we nailed this one! Interior design has a lot to do with balance, and that applies to budgeting as well. A quality designer will guide you on where to spend and where to save. This image, for example, contains a beautifully made custom sideboard, alongside a cost effective, yet still attractive, dining room table from Ikea. The space is polished, but not too precious to use!

If we haven’t already met, allow me to introduce myself! My name is Carey and I am the founder of Om Home Interiors, an Edmonton based residential design firm. I have a long history as a visual communicator and my passion for design goes beyond interiors! I studied Art and Design at the University of Alberta and completed my bachelor's degree in Cortona, Italy. Prior to becoming an interior designer, I worked extensively as both a graphic designer and wardrobe stylist, but no...w Om is where my heart is! The decision to become an interior designer began after undertaking an extensive home renovation with my husband. The process of remodelling a home is indeed challenging, but I found myself fuelled by the art of designing interior spaces. And the end made it all worth it! This little man has been a huge source of inspiration for me. When he was born, I started setting personal and professional goals for myself because I want him to grow up and be proud of the woman who raised him. I can’t say with certainty that this will have any affect on his outlook, but the goal setting has renewed my drive and given me a positive sense of self.
