This is a reminder that most open burning activities have been prohibited throughout British Columbia since noon (Pacific time) on Thursday, April 16, 2020. The...se prohibitions apply to all public and private land within British Columbia, unless specified otherwise (e.g., in a local government bylaw). Although these prohibitions do not apply to campfires, anyone planning to spend time outdoors this weekend is urged to use caution with any activity that could potentially spark a wildfire. For more information about the current prohibitions, please review the following Information Bulletin: http://ow.ly/bSIB30qyGlj A poster explaining the different categories of open burning is available online: http://ow.ly/znny309kJv5 For the most up-to-date prohibition information, please visit the BC Wildfire Service Fire Bans and Restrictions page: http://ow.ly/HYYw30qyGlc
