Created by our workshop director, the clinical case challenge is a chance for attendees to put their medical knowledge to the test by using diagnostic information to determine a patient’s ailment! Our second Neuroarm workshop will officially be taking place on March 27th , 2021 from 9AM to 10AM (MDT). Join Sanju Lama for her webinar entitled "Towards Intelligent Surgical Systems - A Perspective". Attendees will be learning about sugical innovation and participate in an activity that requires them to use their own knowledge to create their own "innovative surgical robot". Don't miss it! Some more information about our honoured speaker: Dr. Sanju Lama, a physician from N...epal, presently leads the operating room integration of innovative technologies created at Project neuroArm, a world class Medical Robotics Program here at the University of Calgary. Uniquely trained in medicine, with a PhD in the interrogation of traumatic brain injury through imaging, and concurrent fellowship in intra-operative MR imaging and surgical robotics, Dr. Lama interfaces the nuances of innovative ideas, fund acquisition, product development and their translation to the neurosurgical operating room. Well published in multiple clinical, engineering and scientific journals, Dr. Lama is the co-inventor of 3 patents and co-founder of the Calgary-based company OrbSurgical Ltd., spun out of Project neuroArm. As the Chief Operating Officer of OrbSurgical Ltd., Dr.Lama has committed herself to ultimately realize the innovative ideas into smart surgical systems of the future, for advanced patient care worldwide.
