The Governments of Canada and Ontario are investing in additional projects to support labour and training needs in the farming sector. Through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (the Partnership), the governments are committing up to $37,000 for the modernization of an online training program for employees entering or already working with Ontario poultry producers. The Poultry Industry Council program will provide a safer, accessible, training resource that will further e...ducate employees in such areas as: pending regulatory changes regarding transportation and animal health and welfare in the sector. The project is one of several projects approved by the governments to help primary agriculture, food processing companies and food retailers to recruit and train workers who are critical in keeping the province’s essential food supply functioning.
