Waitlist Registration opens Monday, May 17th at 9:00 am. We are currently looking to see if we have enough interest to run a Little Saplings Fridays in June session. In order to assess the need, we have added this as an option on our website with Waitlist only available at this time. ... If we have 6 children on the waitlist we will open a session. If we have more than 6 we will also consider opening a double session.
Come and join us for an interactive night getting to know your flood risk in Pemberton!
This is a cool description of a stratovolcano! Did you know that Mount St. Helens has a similar structure to Mount Meager, which is located ~60km west of Pemberton. Though Mount Meager is considered dormant, it is Canada's most active volcano. There are lots of really interesting research projects underway at Mount Meager, as well as throughout the range. Stewardship Pemberton has been working with Scientists at Simon Fraser University on a few projects and we just got GREAT NEWS! They are going to be installing an interactive seismic monitor and weather station at the One Mile Lake Nature Centre! This will be for kids and community members to check out to learn more about this dynamic landscape!
I love learning from the children I teach
