Since the launch of my buy ONE give ONE toque campaign many have asked why I am donating the give one toques to schools. Well this question has many answers but the most valid circles back to #mommaS whom, if you scroll through my page, you’ll find, my whole business and philosophy is built on. After I turned 16, the day I went for my drivers license, my mom #mommaS went for her school bus license! We both passed, on the same day!!! I remember her saying, people al...ways asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I always said a school bus driver. She LOVES her job, and every single child on her bus!! This lady sheds tears as each have graduated and moved on, some she’s driven since Kindergarten !! When she was diagnosed with cancer she immediately decided she would retire, feeling she would never be the same. All the paper work was filled out and ready to be handed in. I encouraged to her wait. She did She had her surgery in December and was back driving the bus by April, she was apprehensive but excited because she missed her kids. She also fills in at the school the librarian or wherever needed on certain days this one took a little longer for her to come around to, as she needed to speak and interact with so many people in a day but she did it! Persevered and i couldn’t be more proud ! #mommaS loves kids, her job, and her school I’m the baby of the family and graduated in 2004, she still volunteers for hot lunch days, school activities etc. The school is a huge part of her life, and I wanted to make a difference where SHE makes a difference every single day #sheisselfless #sheisbrave #sheismymom #hermomemts
