Handmade Vintage Christmas

You may remember the first wreath. I’m sharing it again because this one caused more excitement than normal! The delightful lady who purchased it loved it so much she wanted a complimentary one for her Mom for Christmas. How beautiful a request and desire. She asked for bells, angels (3 angels for 3 sisters) and the same colour palette. I got to work on the second, and it was an absolute pleasure to create. Swipe over to see it.

Yesterday I delivered this wreath to a dear friend. I met Karen and her gregarious rescue dog Gaige at the park I look after a few years ago. We quickly became friends. (Well, Gaige took a little extra time because he wanted to be certain!! ) With an impending (and quite overwhelming) construction project being discussed, Karen decided it was time to sell her place and find a new one. That was a hard thing for Karen to do because she’s become a beloved neighbour and friend..., and she loves in return. I will miss seeing her frequently and our in-depth conversations. I will miss her ease, her whit and her warmth. I will miss Gaige’s excitement and inclusion. But I look forward to the opportunities to visit them in their new place - and the beautiful trip to Chilliwack to get there!
