When we acknowledge our shared struggles and celebrate our differences, we begin to see that we are all connected. Knowing this, we cannot remain silent while our fellow humans suffer. #educateforpeace #montessori #speakup

Even though we were apart over Earth Month, our families still took part in our yearly clean up challenge. We were able to collect 60 lbs of garbage and donate $300 to @earthday.ca. A big thank you to @merryhillgolfclub for sponsoring us again this year! We make a great team!

This is an exciting moment for our schoo! This year, our artwork from the 2019/20 exhibit entitled "Woven Together", pictured below, is the inspiration for the theme. You can find the exhibit on their new Digital Exhibitions page here: https://kwag.ca/digital-exhibitions. Full page spreads of each student's artwork are available when you click "Read more" on the slideshow page. We also have three new pieces in this year's exhibit. Scroll through the slideshow and see if you can find them!

Happy National Teacher Day to all the amazing One Forest teachers! Your passion and dedication are the soul and spirit of our community. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you and miss your smiling faces. For all the times you came in early to set out a new activity, or stayed late to finish up a task, you are to be thanked. For all the times you stopped to comfort a child, or cheer them on, or simply delight with them in the innocence and wonder of childhood, you are to be thanked. Keep up the great work because great teachers make a difference!#teachers #nationalteachersday #montessori #alternativeschool #microschool #forestschool #childledlearning #playislearning

Nature is beautiful, but it is also powerfully destructive, as this pandemic has highlighted. Man vs. microbe. An unseen living creature has brought life as we know it to a standstill. How will we learn from this when it is over? Will we learn the lessons nature is teaching us? Will we change our habits and go forward with more sustainable solutions that respect nature instead of exploiting it? https://www.nationalobserver.com//10-lessons-covid-19-coul #microschool #forestschool #montessori #earthday #covid_19 #childledlearning #oneearth #oneforest
