If this sounds like torture for you, I was the same. I HATED cold water. I'm very sensitive to temperature changes and cold water was definitely the enemy. Until one day a few years back when temperatures soared and I couldn't handle it anymore...I took my first INTENTIONAL cold shower. And it was amazing. Now, cold showers are the only thing fitness and health enthusiasts talk about! So here are just a few of the many health benefits of cold showers: 1. Reduce stress 2. Improves your skin and nails 3. All you have to do is take 1-3 minutes at the end of your shower to finish up (or just stand) in the stream of the coldest water you can tolerate. So yes! That means you can start off with warm water and gradually reduce the temperature. I absolutely love taking cold showers now...your body adapts to what it's being dealt.
