We don’t believe that every day as an addict in recovery is a battle ...Or we wouldn’t be in f$@&!n recovery! Life in recovery fills us with gratitude. Living in addiction was the battle, many of us literally fought for drugs, money, food, places to live..even our lives. Every day sober is 100x better than the pain of having to use drugs or alcohol just to get through the day. We believe each day lived in recovery truly is a gift.

In recovery we hear a lot about opening the door of willingness, if even just a crack. This can look like our first time asking for help, first time seeking spiritual connection, first time taking a suggestion from recovery supports or a counsellor, or maybe listening to that little voice in the back of our minds saying I need a little more time . What we often don’t realize in early recovery is this door not only widens, it opens to an infinite number of other doors of endless possibilities to live a life you once could have only imagined. Shout out to everyone out there today taking another 24 hours and changing the course of their lives in the process.
