As I reflect on 2021 I can’t help but think about people around me who have decided to CREATE something beautiful despite setbacks. Char is one of those. After... Covid took away her Corporate Photography business she decided to start an online course and group coaching to help women making positive change with their branding. She also became a Certified Creativity Coach I’m so proud of Char for being brave to create something new out of a setback. She saw opportunity where others saw obstacles. I share her story to encourage you if you have dreams in your heart but are unsure how to step out that there are others out there who are just like you doing it! What is in your heart to dream for? What seems impossible? What is possible there? It’s time for you to pick up the mic, or the pen, or your camera to make a difference in others lives. Meaningful social connection is vital for our health! So proud of Connie Jakab who has created a Nation Wide Bell Let’s Talk mental health conference where we come together to CREATE. IT’S TODAY!!! Create hope where there is despair. ... It has been a dream of hers to create an innovative nation wide conference that isn’t just about listening to speakers, but listening to one another. In the incubator portion of the conference, people are put in groups of 8 and have 3 minutes to share their story, what they are doing around mental health, or what they are noticing around mental health. The beautiful part of this is you have ALL ages, ALL demographics, ALL sectors coming together. Usually at a conference you sit in rows, listen to a speaker, maybe take notes, network at lunch and leave. But if the mental HEALTH of our brain is created in connection, so we thought: Why don’t we connect through STORY? She believe’s that interpersonal neurobiology, the attuned listening that someone gives when someone is sharing their story REWIRES THE BRAIN.
