Some destinations Alicja has travelled to include Malta, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, French Polynesia, Malaysia, The Falkland Islands & more! Her website and Insta pages showcase photos of the adventures she’s had while travelling. Alicja was fortunate to retire early and has been traveling consistently ever since. She simultaneously took up golf as a way to stay fit. Combining golf and travel has been a great way to experience travel in a unique way like in the Cook Islands and Sri Lanka. The golf courses in Sri Lanka are very unique. One she played was on an active military field and the other was quite old and established in 1863! Since the pandemic, Alicja has been forced to limit her international travel, so she’s dedicated her time to playing/practicing locally. She’s also going into her 3rd year as a volunteer with the Vancouver Golf Tour. Alicja’s been volunteering since she was a young girl and her experience with VGT has been very rewarding as she enjoys getting to know the pros, amateurs and seeing all the different golf courses in the local community. Alicja wonders if one day soon she’ll be able to combine all 3 of her passions into one to travel, golf and volunteer all over the world! You’re never too old to take up a new activity. Golf is a very humbling game for this lady! It has taught me not to be such a perfectionist, to relax and to just enjoy learning a new activity. I’ll never be perfect at the game but I will enjoy perfecting the game in my own way.
