So saddened to learn of the passing of Leon Chue, the master dub plate cutting engineer at Music House, London, since the mid 90s. All veteran Jungle DJs will... be devastated upon hearing the news of his death, as will all Reggae DJs. I never ceased to be amazed by his cool, calm demeanour and attention to detail, despite the mayhem outside on the Holloway Road with a permanent line of DJs anxious to get there dubs cut. He always made time for everyone and he always got the job done. A master technician and studio engineer who’s work on the dub plate lathe was astonishing to watch as was his mastering technique for vinyl recordings. RIP Leon Chue who gave so much to the music industry because if he hadn’t cut those dubs, way back in the day, then most of those anthems would never have been heard in raves dances up and down the land. And that’s the truth. Heartfelt condolences to his family especially his Father Paul and to Chris Hanson. David Rodigan
