On November 10, the Manitoba Government announced the province would move to the Critical Level (red) on the #RestartMB Pandemic Response System effective Thursday, November 12. These new restrictions are necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The November 12 Public Health Order (https://bit.ly/32GMMiJ) describes how the new restrictions will affect various industries in Manitoba including the media production industry. On Screen Manitoba thanks the Province for its c...onfidence in the Manitoba media production industry. All productions in Manitoba follow strict health and safety protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. When Manitoba’s media production professionals are on set, on location, in a production office or on any other production-related worksites, they must physically distance, wear a non-medical mask, wash their hands often and frequently clean shared surfaces. Professionals must take the Shared Health screening test prior to attending the workplace and attest to having taken it upon arrival. On Screen Manitoba continues to work with industry stakeholders to develop, update and aggregate COVID-19 resources (onscreenmanitoba.com/covid-19-information-resources/) during these challenging times to ensure the Manitoba media production industry remains vibrant, creative and safe.
