As most of our followers might have noticed, we don’t usually post photos of our calls. We’ve made an exception this time with permission from those involved and because we received not one but two nice thank you messages that we wanted to share. The photos show how scary this accident must have been for the people in the vehicle and how we had our scene set up so everyone would be safe. What you can’t see is our utility truck 934 set back about 500m with emergency scene sign...s and arrow bar directing traffic to the right. Good morning. I’m the lady who was involved in the serious accident on Monday with the GMC Envoy and the trailer loaded with items from the Ritchie Brothers auction. I didn’t know who to contact so I asked my nephew if he could share my thanks to the department that helped us that day. I’m not sure if I can add the message to your site but I know the deputy chief has it and I would love for him to copy and paste it to your site. We will never forget your professional control over this accident. I don’t even know how to thank you enough. But Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Stay safe. We need you. I just want to tell you that I have never experienced anything like the accident we just had the other day. The chaos was unbelievable. Then all of a sudden there was organization and I was still in shock and extremely upset. The organization came from the fire department. They had arrived and took control of the traffic and everything else required on the scene. And when my family were arriving they directed them to the right place. When my daughter needed to bring her vehicle closer because my dog was too terrified to walk they stopped the traffic so she could bring the vehicle closer. They watched to see when we were ready to leave and guided us out safely. I had no idea what you people do to maintain the chaos during a horrific scene. It's amazing. And I was and will always be extremely thankful for all those who put their lives and safety in harms way to help those in dire need. Thank you and all those amazing people who help us. Another reminder that the flu vaccination clinic scheduled for today and Tuesday at our hall has been cancelled.

Unfortunately the Sunday and Tuesday flu vaccination clinic at our fire hall has to be cancelled. Walmart Pharmacy has had a higher demand than expected and ran out of flu shots. They won’t get more shots from public health until later next week. Hopefully we can reschedule once we get more details. Please share this post so area residents are aware.
