There is a COVID-19 Beekeeping Impact Survey being run to assess what services may be impacted now and in future years because of the pandemic. The data collected will be compiled and reported by the Canadian Honey Council (CHC) and the Canadian Association of Professional Apiculturist (CAPA). The Auditor General released their annual report today on Ontario's environmental Record: "The Agriculture Ministry cancelled the targets and action plan to improve the health of Ontario’s pollinators and did not notify the public. Species like bees, flies, wasps, and butterflies that pollinate crops and wild vegetation, are critical to sustaining Ontario’s agriculture and natural ecosystems.... Over one-third of our food comes from insect-pollinated plants.
