Jim Lake area has been groomed and looks great! Red Fox has been dragged but not groomed yet (little more snow needed). Access is at Jim Lake Road parking lot.... This is where the trail starts - not at Red Fox like the last few years, as no logging is happening this year. These trails are for members only unless you purchase a day pass (Progress or Voyageur Bait). Walking on trails is not allowed from this point forward until mid April. Under no circumstances should Beaten Path trails be driven on (trucks or ATVs). Thank you for your co-operation. Enjoy the trails! See more

We have registered and here is our question - Would the lead Ministry for Trails convene a meeting with other Ministries and user federations (Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs, Ontario Federation of ATV Clubs, Snowshoe Canada, Canadian Recreational Horse and Rider Association, Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, Voyageur Trail Association, FONOM, IMBA Canada, Ontario Trails Council etc.) to discuss the reduction in impediments to trail tourism, so as to remove these barriers in order to effectively support the marketing and promotion of trails by RTOs in the North?

The province is opening its own parks and reserves but does not own or manage conservation areas. Conservation reserves refer to provincial properties, not conservation areas which are owned by Conservation Authorities. A great message. Very very smart for riders to carry ppe. If you come upon an accident or injury great to have with you.

This is an important message for all trail users. Trespass was always against the law. Apparently Covid restrictions are making this problem persist in some areas. Please help Ontario Trails by supporting our work donate or join today. We extend the power and reach of these messages. #ontariotrails we also balance these requests with good news and club positive messages. We are all in this together Ontario!

Communities are taking their time and working in step with public health orders from the Governments of Ontario and Canada. We appreciate and acknowledge the patience of all trail users at this time. You all deserve a big THANK YOU for your composure and restraint. The trails should be in better shape as we havent been out in the mud! LOL

These are tough times for people who live for the outdoors, especially in urban places, like Chicago. At Ontario Trails we get that. But sometimes even tougher acts of kindness, to people you dont know, need to be made.
