This is an important call out to all ORV riders for your assistance, there is a council meeting tomorrow in Cavan Monaghan township and the deputy mayor Matthew Graham has put forth a motion to pass a bylaw closing ALL roads in the township to ORVs (ATVs, SxS and off road motorcycles) INDEFINITELY!, there is no plan to ever open this subject at council again and the deputy mayor has plans to run for Mayor in the next election so we know that this may be our last chance, he cu...rrently has two councilors supporting his motion, Ryan Huntley and Cathy Moore, they have used a number of ridiculous excuses to keep ORVs off of roads including: - no economic benefit to the community - ORV riders are irresponsible people - only a handful of them even want the roads open so why bother - they bring no value to our community - they will destroy our way of life Yet they just passed a motion creating new bicycling routes through the township. It's time for you to stand up and be heard, we need you to email, call or TEXT these councilors and respectfully show them that not only are they wrong but we are here an want to be heard. Up until now it's been the squeaky wheel of the anti-ATV people that have been heard, now we need to be the squeaky wheel. Even if you don't live in the area we still need you to use your voice because this is the first of what could end up being many townships that forever close roads to off road vehicles. We don't want this to be a precedence. Please take the time to contact the councilors below, one group text and a few words is all it takes to help us out here. Let them know that you want the roads in Cavan Monaghan township to remain open after Bill 107 is passed in January 2021. Thank you to this inspiring group of adventurous women who braved the elements and had a blast rippin' in the dirt today. The OFTR would like to thank the Motorcyclist Confederation of Canada (MCC) for the grant that made it possible for these female first responders to attend an Intro to Dirt Biking day. Many thanks to the awesome instructors at S.M.A.R.T. Riding Adventures, and to Clinton Smout, for hosting our group and making today such a success. It's hard to tell under the helmets, but I've never seen so many happy faces. Big smiles all around.

Everyone at the OFTR is shocked and saddened by this terrible news. We are all very thankful that no one was hurt. Our thoughts and positive wishes go out to Rob and Craig. We hope Rob rebuilds bigger and better and encourage our members to support Lang’s in anyway we can.
