ALUMNI NEWS - Human Interest! Recently, former Ontario Hockey Academy Team Tardiff teammates had the opportunity to play against one another in a D3 versus D1 match up. During the 2018-19 school and programming year we were fortunate enough to have group of four Norway National Team members that attend OHA. All went on to CIS, D3 and D1 Programs and continue to represent their Country in International level play. Two of the girls faced off in a recent game exhibition NCAA pl...ay Forward Une Bjelland currently in her Sophomore year at NCAA D3 Adrian College (ACHA) - Adrian, Michigan played against her good friend Ena Nystrom, Sophomore goaltender for NCAA D1 Mercyhurst University (WCHA) - Erie, Pennsylvania. Both of the girls are from Stavanger, Norway and were standouts players during their time at OHA. By all accounts the game was a hard fought battle with Mercyhurst coming away with a 3-2 victory. Following the game the girls had a chance to pose for a quick picture. Both have indicated that it was just such a pleasure to play a game and compete during this very different and difficult year for the sport they truly love. Both passed on their well wishes to all their friends, former coaches and staff of OHA. #ohaproud #ohahockey #ohastrong #ohaeducated #ontariohockeyacademy
