This season presented challenges for municipalities I suspect no one has ever had to deal with. The furthest thing from most people’s minds was spring planting of flowers! However most municipalities plan this a year in advance and by the time things shut down in March we were gearing up to do said planting. Since things were changing on a daily / weekly basis planning was almost impossible to do for this task. We decided to do what we knew we could manage and what would get the best bang for our customers. Pots! Lots of pots, city-wide. In the downtown core, at Community Centres, pools, and golf courses. And of course Storybook Gardens. I think residents were pleasantly surprised to see these amazing displays! Submitted by Dianna Clarke, City of London
