The cost of the lockdown is being felt through every facet of our lives, not just economically. A drastic rise in preventable cancers will carry on for years as our struggling healthcare system attempts to catch up the backlog of screenings. This makes one wonder, why couldn't they just simply update the Ontario ministry websites with the current identification numbers everyone already carries, if they are so concerned about bringing this province into the 21st century? How about even making it so the government can accept paperwork electronically instead of by snail mail or fax like its still the 80s? Considering nearly a third of Ontarians do not have cell phones, or access to decent data, how can this possibly... even be properly implemented? As even the New York Times publishes that as many as 90% of positive Covid cases may be false, the Ford government continually stomps down the threat of shutdowns for cases numbers that are as meaningless as videos of him washing his hands. Lockdowns are responsible for an increase of death in seniors with dementia by 54%, and over 120% in seniors with serious mental disease. It has diverted resources away from preventing treatable cancers, and will leave us with a medical ba...cklog that our struggling healthcare system may never fully recover from. Which is it? At last estimate (late August) this year's projected deficit was to be larger than the worst 4 years of Kathleen Wynne combined. Would we need to bailout small businesses if they weren't forced closed? Did Toronto need millions to refurbish their waterfront drive-in?

As parents have to try to figure out the constantly changing rules and regulations for this school year, it's time we asked ourselves why we dont use NOW as an opportunity to provide them choice in their child's education. #SchoolChoice
