Power went out about an hour ago at the store here in Wellandport, so we fired up our biggest @firmanpowerequipment generator to keep us going while things get straightened out. Remote/electric start, 8GAL fuel tank, 10000 watts, and a wheel kit. What a beautiful unit.

Any guesses to what this used to be? I think we'll be cleaning this old girl up and displaying it in the store soon. We're sure it'll get some attention and spur on some conversation!

Meet Josh from High Grade Landscaping in Jarvis, Ontario. Josh is a very happy man today after the install of an EG-2 EconoGrade Laser Grade Control System on his CAT D4 dozer. Why is he happy? Simple. For the fraction of a GPS system investment, he is able to now drive his dozer on the job site and let the EG2 system AUTOMATICALLY control his blade in 2D. All he has to do is push the dirt. The system does all the grade work in dual slope from the rotating laser just outside... the work area. Truly amazing. The system works on any machine with hydraulic controlled blades ie. dozers, drag boxes, push blades on skid steers. Changes to the yard again! Oosterhof Concrete is currently working in our loose landscaping area of the yard, creating a new, bigger and cleaner set of bins for all your needs. What a creative way to build your backyard garden! A little while ago, James reached out about our laser levels through a Kijiji Ad. He was about to start in on a big project at his home just outside of Orangeville and needed to make sure things were accurately level over a large area that was definitely not. That's were our Topcon base model RL-H5A answered the bell. James writes:... Hello again, "As promised here are some photos of our completed raised garden bed. Would have been very difficult without the Topcon RL-H5A. The garden is built into a hill and every set of legs is a custom length..." End result is this amazing backyard garden with risen beds, an entry way, and even a couple of decoy owls to guard his crop. More from James' Instagram post about the project: "When this whole pandemic started the world went nuts and people bought up all the toilet paper and lysol wipes they could get their hands on. We had other concerns. So this is our pandemic garden. Built by dad and I over the past few months. Placement of plants was expertly researched by my wife. She’s our garden curator. What good is having toilet paper to wipe your arse if you don’t have food to eat? #priorities. Many positive outcomes from a project of this magnitude.
