FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 5, 2018 The Ontario Alliance has submitted a formal letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Mr. Bill Morneau regarding the release of the federal budget. As a party that believes in putting the interests of regular working class Ontarians first, we are deeply concerned with the new budget and have respectfully asked for answers to what we feel are some very reasonable questions regarding the ongoing economic cooperation enjoyed... between the Province of Ontario and the Federal Government, as well as specific benefits found in the budget for the people of Ontario. It is our sincere hope that Prime Minister Trudeau and Mr. Morneau respond to our questions in a reasonable amount of time, as we believe the people of Ontario, many of whom now fear for their families’ economic future, deserve to know how they will be expected to cope with the Carbon Tax, which amounts to the largest tax increase in the history of Canada, in addition to continuous deficit spending and other challenges they are now facing. Because we care equally about all Ontarians including those in Rural and Northern Ontario, we also respectfully ask for answers regarding our inquiries as to whether or not the Trudeau Government will be willing to grant the Province of Ontario more control over issues such as immigration to help these areas tackle their labour shortage problems? We look forward to Prime Minister Trudeau and Mr. Morneau’s prompt response to these important matters.
