REMINDER TO MEMBERS: The deadline to vote for a new 2nd Vice President is November 10th. Voting can be done by email or letter mail. To vote by email, send an email to [email protected] with your full name, and ensure the email is sent from the email address OABA has on file for your membership. The subject of the email should be OABA PROXY. A sample email is below:... OABA PROXY Hello, My name is _________, and my votes for the OABA 2020 election are: 1) (YES or NO) [to the constitution amendments] 2) (TAYLOR or WAGNER) [Pat Taylor or Robert Wagner for 2nd VP]

Information for voting is out! There are two items to vote on: 1) Amendments to the constitution 2) Choosing a 2nd Vice President... The proposed changes to the constitution and information about the two 2nd Vice President candidates - Pat Taylor and Robert Wagner - is available on the OABA website and in the fall issue of The Iron Trillium. Since the AGM has unfortunately been cancelled, "proxy voting" will be adopted this year. All OABA members in good standing are eligible to vote. To cast your proxy vote, send EITHER a letter or email to Lisa L., OABA's secretary with your vote for 1) (YES or NO) and 2) (TAYLOR or WAGNER) Your proxy vote MUST include your name and mailing address. If you are submitting your vote by email it must be sent from the email address OABA has from you on record. Email submissions should have "OABA Proxy" in the subject line and be submitted to [email protected] and mailed in submissions should be sent to the address available in the newsletter. The deadline for submissions to be received is November 10, 2020.

As announced by Darrell Markewitz, the Annual General Meeting has been cancelled due to restrictions by the Ontario Government on the size of public gatherings. Voting for the position of 2nd Vice President and changes to OABA's constitution will be done by mail in ballots. Details regarding the ballots and voting process will be announced in the fall issue of the Iron Trillium. The deadline to submit ballots for the vote is November 10.
