Amazing interactive session with OCA's Akash Gill who spoke about his journey from OCA as a 7 year old to playing pro cricket. There were some great questions from the youngsters who were excited to see and meet one of their heroes. OCA's Cricket Education Program will not only give players of all ages and skill levels, a deeper understanding of the game, but it will also help players to learn about themselves as players and be better prepared for the future.

Brilliant to see one of our OCA players who is moving through to the highest ranks of the game, give back to the grassroots and development of the sport. Thanks to Akash Gill for his support in demonstrating cricket skills to teachers from the York District School Board. Through CIMA Canada's ongoing schools cricket program, OCA's coach Derek Perera has been able teach over 500 teachers and thousands of students in this program. Exciting times to come!

As we continue to work together as a community to fight this global pandemic, we would like to remind all of our patrons and to the cricketing community in general that the our region and municipality will be moving into the "Red Zone - Control" level of restrictions. At OCA, even through lesser restrictions we have kept our numbers at the facility and sessions in line with the strictest guidelines. We are glad that we are able to continue operating under the strict policies that we have put in place since reopening. Play safe

Just less than a couple of weeks ago, looking back to what would be the last match OCA played for 2020. The women's side, one of the success stories for our club in this challenging season, had a dominant season (until the final) and saw some fantastic individual performances this year from players. Congrats to the side and management. @mississaugacricket Premier League once again proved that the vision for development and providing quality for its teams at the Men's, Women and Youth categories is a key priority. Well done to all involved!

Farewell to our boy from the "land down under"! Harry has really become a club legend in the last two seasons that he's been with us. We always talk about the "OCA Family" and how proud we are of our club culture, but never really know how players will mesh in. Since he joined us, Harry fit right in and really brought with him not only sound cricketing skill, but an amazing sense of humor and personality that will be sorely missed. Going to miss you @hjones95 and Laiken, you'll always have a home and fam in Canada at OCA!

Still work to do at the indoor in preparation for our Fall-Winter program, but after some hard work the boys had the first little hit in the nets since March 2020. Looking forward to our program which starts in mid October!
