We at Drift believe that the MNR should use their ability to enforce temporary river closures due to periods of low water or high temperature. These stressful t...imes make it hard on fish and can lead to high mortality even when practicing catch and release. We need your help! We have a petition online and in store that you can sign that we will use to bring this to the attention of the MNR. Temporary river closures happen in fisheries in other provinces and are a normal practice to ensure the health of waterways and fish stocks.
