Congratulations to all our Little Buckaroos that attended our first event of the season last weekend. You all tried hard and did great! Honourable mentions go out to Georgia G. in the dummy roping; Milena P. in the dummy goat tying; Aliya H. in the barrel racing; Jaxson T. in the pole bending and to all the cowboys and cowgirls that got on in the calf riding! Also, congratulations to our graduating Buckaroo, Zoey B. for competing at her first OHSRA rodeo! Thank you again to our wonderful hosts Scott and Lisa Gray at TLC Quarter Horses who provided the facility and for donating Little Buckaroo hoodies and hats; and to all the parents, OHSRA members and crew that lent a helping hand. We are excited to once again be able to present the Ontario Little Buckaroos for the 2020/2021 season! The Ontario Little Buckaroos program is a division of the Ontario High School Rodeo Association which allows for school aged children from Kindergarten to Grade 5 to participate in youth rodeo events. Our first event of the season will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the TLC Quarter Horses arena in Hillsburgh, Ontario in conjunction with the Junior and High School... rodeos. We currently offer dummy roping, dummy goat tying, barrel racing, pole bending and calf riding. Register online at our new website at www.ohsra.ca under the Upcoming Events section. You only need to enter online before the end of day Wednesday, August 26th. Membership forms can be filled out and brought with you to the event to hand in. Since the OHSRA/OLB follows the school season, this is the start of a new competition year and a new membership form will be required. Some COVID-19 procedures will be in place (masks will be available and worn when social distancing is not possible; hand sanitizer will be available and there will be a spray-down of equipment). Our goal is to promote the future of the sport of rodeo and give our young members the opportunity to participate and learn about rodeo; to encourage great horsemanship, sportsmanship and just have fun!
