The latest modelling projects 6,500 new cases per day in Ontario by the end of December if no action was taken. Public health experts are not optimistic about the current situation. Hospitals are coping but there isn’t a great deal of wiggle room, said Dr. Howard Ovens, chief medical strategy officer for Sinai Health System in Toronto.... #StayHomeSaveLives #Covid19

The group of about 30, held up signs condemning French President Emmanuel Macron for recent "anti-Muslim comments" and his staunch support of secular laws that deem caricatures depicting the Prophet Muhammad as protected under freedom of speech.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford had some strong words for perpetrators of hate crimes or "haters," as he calls them during the province's daily media briefing on Friday. "I have zero tolerance for that sort of nonsense," said Ford when asked about a series of threats against local mosques. "If I was a judge I'd throw them in the jail and throw the key away. Fix their little red wagons."

HalalServe is DawaNet's Food Assistance Program and Delivery Service, which is continuing to provide Fresh, Halal and Healthy food baskets to around 40 food ins...ecure families in the Mississauga area every two weeks! We are grateful to our wonderful donors and amazing team of volunteers without whom we would not be able to do this on behalf of the community. A very special thanks also to the Canadian Red Cross Society (and the Government of Canada) for their Emergency Support to Community Organizations initiative, which has generously made funding available to organizations like DawaNet and allowed us to continue helping additional families in need of food assistance across the Mississauga area! If you know anyone in need of food assistance in Mississauga, please visit our website (halalserve.ca) for instructions on how to apply for food assistance!
