Chutes Provincial Park (PP) was our 7th stop. It is located west of Sudbury in a town called Massey. This small and busy town had loggers, farmers and miners . It even had a railway stop. In the late 1800s, loggers would cut down trees and send them downstream. Chutes PP was established in 1963 and was named after the 60-meter log Chute that was built at the main falls. The loggers from the late 1800s would cut the logs and send them downstream where they would later sort the...m. Our campsite was 200 ft from the rushing water of the falls. There is also a hike that give great views of the falls. There was 15 species of birds recorded during our stay. Including Hermit Thrush, Broad-wing Hawk and Blue-headed Vireo. Weather was fair and rainy on the last day. #ont #ontrips #ontarionaturetrips #chutesprovincialpark
Killbear Provincial Park was a delight! The campsite was very spacious and had very neat geological features just behind where we slept. The nice open water made for quite the adventure and it made for even better sunrise. The lookout hike was the last thing we did before leaving this provincial Park. #ont #ontrips #ontarionaturetrips #ontario #killbearprovincialpark

Not a sound was heard while we were paddling. The steam lifted and hovered over the little inlet across from the campground. Sure made for a beautiful sunrise paddle. #ont #ontrips #ontarionaturetrips #sunrisepaddle #sunrise
