With all of the spare time I've had lately I'm excited to get back to Pinterest boards (some of which were over four years out of date -- yikes!). If you're like me sitting at home spending too much time on social media, go follow my boards and let me know what you think! https://www.pinterest.ca/proweddingphoto/

I was so incredibly honoured to have Hitched Magazine's Spring 2020 issue feature my article "Choosing A Venue! (From a Photographer's Point of View)" for which all text and accompanying images are mine. I've included the first page of the article here, but you'll have to purchase the full magazine to read the rest! The issue includes 74 pages of information and inspiration from Ontario weddings. Buy print and digital issues online here: https://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/...1749855 Thank you to Northbrook Farm Weddings for dressing up your venue so beautifully at night!

BIG, BIG NEWS for 2020! Read on... Innovating to find new ways of telling stories has always driven my creativity. Now, in 2020 I am so excited to introduce a revolutionary product designed to help you relive your wedding day told as a dimensional story through both photography and video. The Heirloom Box Multimedia protects your wedding album and plays your video on a cordless 10" freestanding screen with built-in stereo speakers. Of course, it is completely customizable with your choice of currently available materials and graphics. If you are being married in 2020 (and beyond) this is available to you. Haven't considered video for your wedding? Please inquire about our newly expanded team which now includes a dedicated wedding videographer! [email protected] or 705-957-7200

Tomorrow Logan and I are jetting off to the annual Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Convention. I believe life-long learning is important in any industry, but especially in a creative field influenced by so many outside factors: technology, art, pop culture, fashion and historical trends. This convention offers a full week of seminars, hands-on workshops, and image critique that will help me continually improve my craft. After our adventure at WPPI, we're taking a few days off to explore the national parks of Utah, including the famous Zion National Park. I have a few posts scheduled for this account while I'm away, but I'll be sharing most of my adventure in the Instagram stories. If you aren't following me over there, please do! A little bit of Album Love for this very special book! Last year, I took Logan on a whirlwind adventure in Iceland...completely surprising him with a trip he didn't know existed until two days before we departed! 11 days alone in the natural landscape exploring geothermal caves, mountains, canyons and black sand beaches was exactly what we needed to reconnect and enjoy some downtime during the wedding season. Take time for those you love, even when that little voice of dou...bt creeps in, saying..."we don't have time", or "maybe next month...maybe next year". Make time. Even if it's as simple as a quiet phone-free dinner or a board game with your kids, make time. Moments matter. When you do take the time, find a photographer to capture your memories. Logan and I opened this book together. Immediately we started with "oh! Remember that incredible dinner?" and "Look at our hair...that wind....oh, I had forgotten how it took my breath away" and "I can't wait to go back". The memories came back instantly. I can't wait to share this with family over the Christmas holidays...and I certainly hope to share it with my daughter or son, someday. This album has become part of our story. See more
