How have the MOL and WSIB safety trends differed pre-pandemic vs. post-pandemic? What implications have enhanced sanitation and physical distancing practices had on productivity and cost? How will workers, contractors and owners keep safety at the forefront? As we continue to navigate #HealthAndSafety in a post-pandemic world, meet the panelists who will be discussing this and more at the 21st Annual State of the Industry and Outlook Conference on March 4, 2021. #SIOC2021 #EconomicConference Click to register or to learn more about our panelists https://ocs.swoogo.com/sioc2021/home
New sets of data have been released by Statistics Canada in recent days, providing more clarity on conditions in Ontario’s #ICIconstruction industry at the end of 2020, and the #economy as a whole. The full #EconomicBulletin can be found here https://bit.ly/3jxyUi6
Out of concern for the health and safety of our community and in line with public health measures and restrictions, we are extremely disappointed to inform you that this year’s Future Building event has been cancelled. We had high hopes to be able to meet safely in person this spring, but if we learned anything in 2020 it is how rapidly the pandemic evolves. Though it is true, Future Building 2021 will no longer take place, we continue to strive towards bringing this one-of-a-kind event back, when it is safe to do so, giving young career seekers hands-on exposure to more than 20 skilled construction trades but no decisions have been made yet.
We give our thanks and remember the brave souls who fought and continue to fight for our country. #RemembranceDay #RemembranceDay2020 #LestWeForget
Mr. Stefan Chin found out about the opportunities @H2HCanada had to offer from a friend in his regiment and because of the great relationships between H2H, the military and the Millwrights, he's able continue his work in the army reserve and work in the #skilledtrades full time.
The experience Mr. Brent Dewell gained in the military set a good foundation for his new career in the #skilledtrades. Mr. Dewell is loving his job as an apprentice with Carpenters Local 27 as the work keeps him fit, he gets to work outside, and he enjoys a structured schedule.
Mr. Steve Boyce travelled the world while in the military but decided it was time to retire so he could be close to his wife. His brother, a boilermaker by trade, recommended Helmets to Hardhats and Mr. Boyce is now enjoying his new career and flexible work schedule with Local 128 in Burlington.
ONTARIO CONSTRUCTION SECRETARIAT DONATES $100,000 TO HELP PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES IN THE TRADES FOR VETERANS "The success of Helmets to Hardhats is definitely attributed to the support of the Ontario Construction Secretariat, its members and the unionized construction industry of Ontario. Their support is helping a lot of very worthy Canadians who have served our country." - Joe Maloney, Founder and National Executive Director, Helmets to Hardhats Click the link to view the Pr...ess Release. https://iciconstruction.com/2020/11/09/pressreleasenov9/ See more
