Hi I’m Lisa!! (And the face behind most of the posts on this account over this past school year) I am currently finishing up my final semester of my BComm and I’m excited to start working for Labatt Breweries of Canada post graduation! I love coffee, skiing and travelling (pre covid of course)!

I have held positions and worked with various private/public corporations and the non-profit sector in leadership and organization development where the focus has been on cultural transformation and organizational effectiveness. ... For the past 17 years, I have been an Professor at the School of Human Resource Management at York University. I also teach at Durham College and Ontario Tech University. I have developed and continue to facilitate the Certified Human Resource Professional and Certified Human Resource Leader prep exam sessions for the Human Resource Professional Association. For the past 14 years I have volunteered for the Canadian Red Cross. I am a Certified Disaster Management Instructor and Emergency Response Lead for Durham Region. I have been on various large scale disasters. I hold the designation Distinguished Human Resources Professional (DHRP) from the Human Resources Professionals Association.

Graduating from Ontario Tech University with an Undergraduate Degree in Commerce (Majoring in HRM and OB), she began her career in RBC through the Career Launc...h Program. After finding that her passion was not in the corporate world, she moved into an HR Business Partner role in a mid-sized Health Care Facility. After a few years in this field, and obtaining her CHRL designation, Chantelle obtained her MIRHR from UofT and began her career as an HR Consultant and Sessional Lecturer in HR. She has taught courses at Ontario Tech, McMaster and George Brown College in a variety of HR topics. She is excited to speak to everyone on Wednesday evening about her career and experiences within the HR profession. See more

What a year the HRA has had! We would like to thank the students, faculty, and speakers who supported our events - we had a blast putting them on for you all.
