Congrats to Dr. Fiona Rawle who received a Minister's Award of Excellence. Dr. Rawle is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Dr. Rawle began a collaboration with colleagues Ann Gagné and Simone Laughton to provide an online space for professors and librarians to share their experiences and advice during COVID-19. Congratulations to Adriana Duquette who received a Minister's Award of Excellence. Ms. Duquette is a professor at the University of Windsor who spent countless hours moving a series of intensive lab-based kinesiology courses into a virtual, online format, while maintaining the highly interactive experience that students have come to expect from her in-person labs. "What an honour to be nominated for this award! What I have put together for our students this Fall semester could not have been done without the help and support of my colleagues, especially Ms. Emilie Halle, a Lab Lecturer, who is truly a Teaching Partner. She was instrumental in changing this entirely lab-based face-to-face course to the interactive online format. Thank you so very much."
Congrats to Dr. Jennifer Walker, who received a Minister's Award of Excellence. Dr. Walker is a Haudenosaunee member of Six Nations of the Grand River and a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Health at Laurentian University - Université Laurentienne. Her research program produced COVID-19 epidemiological models to support First Nations leadership’s pandemic planning and response.

Dr. Joordens is a professor at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and Director of the Advanced Technologies Lab. This #WomensHistoryMonth, we’re celebrating Seneca College ’s work with the Red Dot Project, which in 2019 led to Seneca becoming the first college in Canada to equip all female, accessible and gender-neutral washrooms with free feminine hygiene products. This important milestone supports the global initiative to increase access to and end stigma around women’s menstrual heath products.
Congratulations to Dr. John Preston, who received a Minister's Award of Excellence. Dr. Preston led a diverse team of researchers and students across McMaster University to help companies retool for mask production of new N95 masks and develop novel ideas such as catheter covers.
