Fredericton Anti-Poverty Organization has not been having a good year so far. It has come to the point that if we do not start getting regular sales every day t...hat we are open, We will be forced to shut down and close permanently in SEPTEMBER. Our Store is packed with Donations and we have been forced to turn down other Donations because we have no room for them (4 donations of furniture were turned down today). We currently have Multiple Couches, Dining Table Sets, 3 Oven's and A Fridge. Numerous Shelving units and TV Stands, Entertainment Centre's, Factory Returned Mattresses and Bed Frames and MUCH MUCH MORE! FAPO Needs your HELP! or will we be GONE! We still have our Free Food and Clothing Programs and we still Help people who need to get back on their feet after escaping abuse and domestic violence. We are a small Independent non-profit organization that gets no assistance from Municipal, Provincial or Federal Governments. Everyone always says that Fredericton is a place that comes together in times of crisis (AND WE BELIEVE IT!). FAPO is in such a crisis now and we need YOUR HELP! If we close, our Free Food Programs, Free Clothing Programs and Assistance for those who has escaped Abuse and Domestic Violence will be GONE. We are a non-profit yes but that does not stop the BILLS coming in. When people DUMP GARBAGE on our doorstep we have to pay for its disposal, which we have been doing since our inception. The Disposal of dumped garbage on our property eats into money needed to pay our utilities and upkeep including our Truck for free donation pickups, Power for our Building, Insurance for our Building and Truck, Maintenance on our Building etc. We have had a lot come at us in the past Three years and the pandemic did not help at all. Thank you for reading this and PLEASE SHARE it as much as you can. The Fredericton Anti-Poverty Team.
Hi everyone, I’m Vanessa and I was born and raised in Fredericton NB. This is my first year working at Camp Wonder and I am very excited! I am going into my fourth year at STU majoring in sociology and economics, and I also play for the tommies women’s basketball team. Two things I enjoy going the most is working out and spending time outside in the sun. I am so excited to meet you all and a have a fun filled summer together!
Hey everyone, my name is Chantal. I’m originally from New Minas NS, but UNB has brought me to Fredericton! I recently graduated and will continue my studies in Paediatric Development. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, swimming, sailing, biking and spending time with my friends and family. It has been an amazing year at Kids Club, and I’m thrilled to be working at Camp Wonder this summer! I can’t wait to meet all the new faces.
If your looking to get rid of your pop, beer, wine, liquor bottles take them here. It's a charity drop off.
Thank you for all the support
Last chance before to get these in time for Christmas!
Congratulations Claire!
